When you sit quietly in the corner of your world
enjoying the little you have, Christians
evangelists would show up. They would sweet-
mouth and tell you of how your life would be
better if you become a Christian and accept the
invisible Jesus in your life. They would quote
verses to tell you of how you should bring your
yoke to Jesus and he would set you free. If you
don't have a strong self-will, they would sway
you.
On getting to the church, you have high
expectations. They would made samples from
hardworking(or those that make living from
fraud) members of how you will be blessed in no
distant time if you pay your church bills regularly.
Believing their deceits, you fall in. Your little
earnings go there! If it is not about raising
money for church buildings this week, it would be
about blessing the man of God next week. You
continue in this mess until after several years of
great expectations without meaningful progress.
You approach the messenger of this Sky daddy
to ask how your life has not being better but
rather becoming worsen since you joined them. If
the messenger is merciful not to put the blame
on you on how you are not a cheerful giver, he
would quote some verses to tell you that Jesus
had suffered similar fate and that Jesus didn't
promise that all would be well. Then you sit
down and think deeply, and now realised you
have been shortchanged by those smart guys
who sell imaginary God to people in exchange for
ten percent or more of their income. If you are
wise, you call it a quit and start life afresh but if
you are concerned about what people would say,
you continue to stay, waiting for the impossible
until death comes calling and the cycle of deceit
continues for the living who are afraid to take a
bold step.
